There are also local & international flight. Some of the towns in Nigeria where airports are located include port harcourt, owerri, asaba, uyo, lagos, abuja, calabar etc.
Advantages Of Air Transport
1. It is the fastest means of transportation.
2. It is safer than other means of transportation & records fewer accident.
3. It is very comfortable.
4. Flight shedule are strictly adhered to even when the airplane is not filled to capacity.
5. It is most suitable for carrying perishable and fragile goods such as newspaper, letters and parcels speedily across the world.
Disadvantages Of Air Transport
1. Travelling by air is limited to few people because the fare is high.
2. Anytime there is an accident, it is usually very fatal.
3. Bad weather may cause unexpected delay or total cancellation of journey.
4. Airport and aircrafts are expensive items of capital expenditure.
5. Airports are noisy places and tend to sited away from city centres, so resulting trip from the airport to city centres is a waste of time and resources.
