Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne (born April 18, 1996) is an American rapper and songwriter best known as Ski Mask the Slump God (previously stylized as $ki Mask “The Slump God”). He first gained notoriety with XXXTentacion and their collective Members Only. In 2017, he released the singles “Catch Me Outside” and “Babywipe,” which were both featured on his RIAA-certified Gold mixtape You Will Regret (2017).
Beware the Book of Eli, Goulbourne’s mixtape was released in May 2018 and reached No. 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. His debut album Stokeley (2018) debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
Goulbourne grew up listening to artists such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Wu-Tang Clan, and Lil Wayne. His parents, he claims, used to play Jamaican music in the house. Goulbourne’s father, a rapper known as “Sin City,” would frequently force his son to concentrate on writing his own rap tracks. Goulbourne was taken to a juvenile detention institution in 2013, where he met XXXTentacion, for possession of “about $10 worth of cannabis.” Following their release from detention, the two became friends and frequently collaborated on songs.
Ski Mask the Slump God released his debut studio album Stokeley in 2018 and the album reached #4 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart and #6 on the Billboard 200 chart. He has released the mixtapes Drown in Designer in 2016, YouWillRegret in 2017, and Beware the Book of Eli in 2018. He was also featured on a mixtape with XXXTentacion and on two mixtapes with Members Only. Ski Mask the Slump God’s single “Nuketown” (featuring Juice Wild) reached #10 on the NZ Hot chart and his single “Foot Fungus” reached #8 on the same chart. He has signed with Republic records.
